As part of the qualification procedure for the national events, the next ranked swimmers, following after the British qualifiers, were invited to compete at the Swim England National Summer Meet (August 2-6). All swimmers performed to the best of their ability and were an absolute credit to this club.

Evie (3) MC 400 free GOLD MEDAL 100 breast 4th MC 100 back 8th
Daniel (4) 100 free SILVER MEDAL 200 free 7th 50 free GOLD MEDAL 1500 free GOLD MEDAL
Outstanding races came from Maisie in MC 100 free, Evie in MC 400 free and Daniel in 1500 free. What a comeback from Maisie, after recovery from an operation, and missing months of training, to swim into an amazing 3rd place and with a new pb. Evie obliterated her pb in the final of the 400 free, a gutsy swim to stay in the lead and win! Daniel boldly led from the outset and gathered momentum in the 1500 free to smash his pb, leaving others in his wake, and touched first to win! Huge congratulations to Sam and Jack, making their debuts at a national meet. Well done indeed to all those who took part, and a huge thank-you to Nathan and Michael for all your support at these events.
