The Yorkshire Winter Championships were the first high level meets of the season for BOK, and the representation who raced from BOK across all age groups was excellent. There was a record number of qualifiers from our Performance Programme, including some children swimming at the ‘Yorkshires’ for the first time. Very well done to all who qualified (please see below).

Many pbs were broken showing great progress in the swimmers’ individual athletic journeys. Hard work pays off, and in the very competitive Yorkshire region it was a great achievement to gain a top ten place, and outstanding to be rewarded by a medal, finishing in the top 3 in the biggest county event in England. Stand out results came from Poppy Nuttman in the Upper Age Group and Jack Wade in the Lower Age Group. Well done! Thank you to the coaches and team managers for all your support over two very hectic weekends!
