Annual Membership Renewal

Each year, swimmers, or parents if the swimmer is under 16 years of age, must renew their membership.

As part of each swimmer’s BOK membership, we require at least one parent/guardian to become a non-swimming member of BOK . We also need each swimmer’s representative to volunteer for a minimum of two roles within the Club (see Volunteering section below). Members should complete the following forms:

  • BOK Volunteer Commitment Form
  • If you are not already a member of the ASA please complete the ASA Membership Form.

Volunteering and poolside rota

The BOK Artistic Swimming Club is run solely by volunteers. Our coaches are unpaid and give up their own time to help our swimmers to enjoy and reach their potential in artistic swimming.

Monthly fees cover pool hire, team costumes for competition and a small contingency for other costs such as insurance, volunteer training courses and membership for volunteers.

To make sure that the club continues to operate we ask one parent or guardian of each squad member takes on two roles:

  • Club roles – to make sure BOK Artistic Swimming runs smoothly.
  • Competition role – all clubs must provide a number of officials for each event, otherwise our swimmers can’t compete.

You can find out more about the description of roles available. Don’t worry if you have no experience or knowledge of the jobs listed, you’ll be given full instructions and training if necessary. All that’s needed is a willingness to join in and learn.

We also ask that each volunteer takes a turn in helping out on the poolside. It usually works out at 1 x session per half term and involves supporting the coaches on either a Sunday or Monday training night. The most up to date rota is available to download here.
